Nightstands: Before and After

I've been searching for a pair of old nightstands for at least six months. I keep finding a single jewel of a piece, but I really wanted a pair... with a drawer. I finally settled on a newer pair of nightstands that are more contemporary than I would like, but they'll work for now.

We sanded and then painted them to match our dresser.
I really like how they turned out. Functionality was key for me on these. Our bedroom is finally coming together!

P.S. I apologize for the lack of posting lately. I have had to re-evaluate some priorities in my life and in addition to being extra busy at work these days, I am spending more quality time with my husband which is never a bad thing. :-)

  1. I like them! They're nice! Glad you have your priorities straight. A relationship with a human being is much more real than a relationship with a bunch of people on a computer.

  2. I love how you are so creative! You can come refurbish/decorate my furniture/home anytime!!

Sometimes I think we get consumed with everything around us that we tend to ignore what we really need to be paying attention too. I'm glad you and hubby are getting quality time - you will never regret it!

  4. The nightstands turned out nice! You have a great blog and some yummy looking recipes that I will definitely have to try out. Good job for taking more time for hubby. People are more important that computers any day. I should probably take some of my own advice! :) Have a great Friday!

  6. They turned out great! My hubby was just telling me last night that I have been spending too much time on the computer. I just started my blog this year so I would have to agree with him.
