Test Post - Help!

Bear with me. I am testing out creating my posts in MS word, as opposed to uploading pics and messing around with the screwy Blogger editor formatting. What do you use to create your posts? This all started while I was scoping out Centsational Girl's tutorial on fixing photos.

  1. Hmmm... no picture. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to upload the pics on a server and then past the HTML into my blog post. Anyone have any solutions to this? I am sick of spending over an hour just to publish a small post. I spend most of my time formatting the post after I insert pictures and Blogger decides to put all kinds of extra space into my post.

  2. You do not want to use MS Word-When you copy and paste from word to your post it can add code in and mess up your blog post.
A lot of people love Live Writer but as soon as I tried it my blog quick posting to Reader for 3 weeks and the only reason it is even posting now is I finagle every post to get it to go through--such a hassle. I have been told by several of the BIG blogger gals to switch to Word Press. I have done tons of research and Word Press is the blog of choice by Web Designers.

I have been blogging for 7 months and have had MULTIPLE major problems with Blogger. I am in the process of switching.

  3. I just got Live Writer and I've heard it's great. I've only done one post with it so far, so I definitely don't know all the tricks yet, but I didn't have the same problem with Google Reader - it came right through.

Have you tried switching to the new blogger editor? I did that awhile ago and it made a world of difference. Go to settings, and under Global Settings select Updated Editor. I've never uploaded pics to a server and then pasted HTML... I just upload pics straight to the blog from my computer.
